Ramadan Day 5 : Resetting our Souls
My reflective thoughts:
Sometimes we’re having to make excuses unfortunately for annoying phone calls and just not pick up the calls!
Dear Muslim Brothers and sisters unless it’s urgent avoid disturbing families and calling them especially during Ramadan during these times :
1. A few hours before breaking fast
2. Right At Suhoor time (breaking fast)
3. Before or Right at Sehri time (when we get up to eat inorder to fast for the day)
4. Maghreb time (at sunset )
5. At dinner time
6. Resting times
* Most Muslim households and families Just before breaking fast are prepping and asking lots of duah(prayers)
* Then we pray Maghreb and eat dinner quickly because there is Tarawee night prayers during the month of Ramadan
* Then we try to sleep early so we can wake up at 3:30 am to pray Tahajud prayer just before prepping for Sehri
* Then we’re off to the early morning prayer Fajr before sunrise .
It’s courtesy and polite especially if you come from the same Muslim faith not to disturb someone during those hours during Ramadan and after Ramadan unless it’s work related , or extremely urgent.
In our household we usually don’t take the calls when people call during these times .
If it’s urgent then the person calling would send a message.
Folks Let’s try to be courteous and understanding especially during this month.
