Officials from the Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation have received the flag for the host nation of the FEI World Cup Finals 2024, the first time the event will have been held in the Middle East. The handover ceremony, organized by the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI), came at the end of the World Cup Finals 2023 held in the US city of Omaha, Nebraska, from April 4 to 8. Jabal Thawr is a mountain in Saudi Arabia, located in the lower part of Mecca to the south of the district of Misfalah. The height of the mountain is 750 m.   Jabal al-Thawr (Arabic: جبل ثور) is the mountain containing the cave in which the Prophet (ﷺ) and Abu Bakr (رضي الله عنه) sought refuge for three days and nights from the Quraysh.
